Chris Sandoval, a remarkably popular singer and interpreter of popular songs, from rancheras to boleros, toured widely with a ten piece band along the Chicano/Tejano circuit from California through the southwest up into Ohio and beyond. At that time he was recording steadily with his full band as well as with smaller conjuntos and trios. Paulino Bernal, at that time himself a rising star, is heard here backing Chris Sandoval with beautiful accordion work especially on the slow, moody, brooding boleros.
